Pattaya is a large beach city on [[Guide_to_Punting_in_Thailand|Thailand]]’s eastern Gulf coast. It is about 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast often described as the *punting capital of Bangkok. It was a quiet fishing village as recently as the 1960s.
