===No Alcohol Days===
Other than elections, there are 5 'no alcohol days'. Even if you are not a drinker, this is annoying since girls bars etc are may be shut. Get some beers in advance and book a girl from TF! To be fair, most bars in the central area of Pattaya are open - tourist exemption. But not 7-11 and Jomtien etc. The days move around based on the lunar cycle. In 2026 Makha Bucha Day is 3rd March, Visakha Bucha Day is 1 31 May, Asahna Bucha Day is 29th July, Khao Phansa (start Buddhist lent) is 30th July, and Awk Phansa (end Buddhist lent) is 24th October.
